Jim Skull

Parisian artist, Jim Skull sites his inspirations as Amerindian and Oceanian cult objects, European ex-votos, relics and Cabinets of Curiosities. But his recent body of work, the skulls reference well known cultural figures like Timothy Leary, an icon of 1960s psychedelic counterculture (shown below!)

"Like every great religion of the past we seek to find the divinity within and to express this revelation in a life of glorification and the worship of God. These ancient goals we define in the metaphor of the present - turn on, tune in, drop out." ~ Timothy Leary

I checked out that video you recommended and was surprised to find it was Zeitgeist. I've seen that one before. I thought they put out some good information in the first one, but the sequel was kinda sketchy. They seem to be part of the Futurist/Transhumanist movement, which is fine for them but not my cup of tea. Thanks for the suggestion though.
